About Wiebke
In the early 80-5es I studied embroidery and started my kni9ng business Knitwit Design. In
no 5me my sweaters were hot and I kni?ed hundreds of sweaters/cardigans.
In the mid 805es I started to take singing lessons and I graduated in 1992 as an opera singer.
All the 5me I financed my singing educa5on by kni9ng lots and lots of sweaters.
Immediately I was given a contract for the lead part of Carlo?a Giudicelli in the Dutch
produc5on of Phantom of the Opera and aMer singing this part appr. 600 5mes I moved to
Germany to make my debut as Aida in Aida.
For 20 years I performed all important lead opera roles on the interna5onal stages. Although
I s5ll kni?ed for friends the kni9ng business was sleeping…
Now being an “old diva” I have more 5me and my old love, kni9ng, came back into my life.
I love working with lovely materials, soM mohair, silk and alpaca, honest co?on and pure
wool. I love crea5ng new models and love that my ideas are s5ll and again fashionable!
All my products are hand made.
I use natural, cruelty-free and environmental friendly produced materials only.
All of my wool is 100% museling free, 100% of our suppliers are either Reach or Oekotex
cer5fied for their dyes..
